S.R. Taylor was born in Biloxi, Mississippi. A former Air Force brat turned preacher’s daughter, Taylor moved often while growing up, attending seven elementary and nine high schools. During her travels she developed her passion for reading while entertaining younger siblings in the backseat of the family station wagon.

As a single mother, Taylor rediscovered her father’s knack for storytelling while inventing bedtime stories for her young children. “ROUND” is based on the author’s daughter Athena and the bullying she encountered in second grade.

By weaving real life experiences into a fictional story, the author has created a book that both adults and children can identify with, and a character that’s instantly lovable.
